Amanite - Bed and Breakfast in Marseille 01/12/2006 - 03/12/06

The Motto of the City of Marseille: Actibus immensis urbs fulget Massiliensis. "By her great deeds, Marseille shines in the world".

Amanite, Chloe, is Madam Botella's daughter. She came to my rescue in Marseille in two ways. Her mother did not have room for me at her Chambre D'Hote as she had another guest arriving and also, as I have described, none of us could get Madam Botella's LAN access Internet working. Chloe, very kindly, offered to accommodate me in her city apartment for the next three days even though she was going to be away herself.

Chloe's apartment was fantastic for me. I had the space and quietness, plus a Wireless Internet Connection (Yeah!) and was able to catch up with, and get on with my work. The apartment is on the Rue D'Athenes which is just a few steps away from the TGV train station - Gare St Charles.

Chloe is an artist and the room she allowed me to use was decorated with her artwork - it had a very stimulating and energising effect on me - as it was here that I got the inspiration to create this website "Two weeks in Marselle". Prior to my stay at Amanite's bed and breakfast (Chambre D'Hote), I had no idea what creative work would come out of my visit to Marseille but I knew there would be something there for me. It came to fruition here, at the home of Amanite.

Chloe was the perfect hostess, served an excellent breakfast, and I have no hesitation in recommending her if you are looking for a Chambre D'Hote (Bed and Breakfast) for your stay in Marseille.
